Flourite gravel

I decided to try Flourite gravel in some of the pots in my tanks. I had been using regular gravel to cap the soil I placed in the pots, but I wanted to see if this would give my plants another boost.

It wasn't hard to switch out the old gravel for the new, but I was surprised by how cloudy the Flourite tends to make the water, especially this small amount. My geos like to sift through it at meal time and the tank gets really cloudy.

If it wasn't so expensive (almost $20 per bag where I live) I'd do a few tanks with this gravel and some sand. At the moment, I'm content trying the potted method. I'd just like to see my swords and a few others growing a little faster.
