New fish shipment

I wanted to try some fish I can't find at my local fish store, so I placed an order with Wet Spot Tropical Fish in Oregon. I've ordered from them before and I've never had any problems. The stars of this particular shipment are the Gymnogeophagus pictured above. I bought some Blue Neons and some Gymnogenys Yerbalito.

I've tried Gymnogeophagus before in a smaller tank and they didn't last. I'm hoping a 55 gallon will work a lot better for them. This is the first time I've tried Yerbalito.

What's interesting about Gymnogeophagus is that they're from southern parts of South America where temperatures get colder. Experts actually encourage you to keep them without a heater and to let the tank get colder in the winter months. Of course my fish will experience winter backwards from what they're used to in the southern hemisphere but I guess that's not a problem.

Here is a closer pic of a Blue Neon. They have nice color for their size. All of them are pretty skittish at the moment.

I also picked up some Apistogramma, Laetacara Dorsigera and some Green and Sterbai corydoras (cory cats). Here are two of the green cory cats. I've added the four new green cories to a tank with two I already had. The Sterbai are in a separate tank and once they get bigger, I want to try them in my 125 with Geophagus.

I'll post more pics, including pics of the other fish in the near future.
